Wood Paint guide

Preparation

You will need:
- DETALE Wood Paint
- Paintbrush and/or roller
- Sandpaper (120–180 grit)
- Masking tape
- A fitting interior wood primer

Preparation
The surface must be clean, dry, stable, and suitable for painting. Lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper to create an even foundation. Apply a suitable interior wood primer to ensure an even coverage and a durable finish.

Remove any dust and wipe the surface thoroughly with a damp cloth. Once the surface is dry, apply masking tape along the edges to protect surrounding areas.

Step by step

Step 1

Apply the first coat of DETALE Wood Paint using long, even strokes. Start with the edges and work your way across the surface. For wider surfaces, a small roller can be used together with a brush to achieve smooth and even coverage. Apply thin, even layers and allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

Step 2

Apply the second coat using the same technique to achieve full coverage and an even finish. Once the final coat is dry, carefully remove the masking tape to reveal sharp and clean edges.

Tip: Use long, controlled movements and avoid overworking the paint. This helps create a smooth finish without visible brush strokes or uneven areas.
